Upcoming events: International Plasma Awareness Week & Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency

Haemonetics is strongly committed to the Plasma industry as we continue to provide high-quality products and superior customer service to our customers around the globe. We have also demonstrated our commitment to the Plasma industry by supporting non-profit organizations that improve the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life of people who require plasma-derived bio-pharmaceuticals. We are pleased to announce our support of the following two events in October:

International Plasma Awareness Week – October 13-20

This first-ever joint initiative of the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) and its member companies (of which Haemonetics is an Associate Member) is designed to raise international awareness about source plasma collection; recognize the contributions of plasma donors to saving and improving lives; and increase understanding about lifesaving plasma protein therapies and the patients who rely on them.

Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency – Chicago, IL on October 27

Millions of patients have primary immunodeficiency disease and Haemonetics makes a difference in these patients’ lives by helping plasma fractionators and collectors around the world meet the ever-increasing need for plasma-derived bio-pharmaceuticals. The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) has organized a series of walks across the nation to raise awareness and help improve the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life with primary immunodeficiency diseases through advocacy, education, and research.

Haemonetics will be supporting the Greater Chicago Walk. To learn more or to make a donation, visit: http://primaryimmune.org/ or stop by our booth on the day of the event.
